Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power"and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being.
Physical Benefits:
Reiki can help boost a person’s immune system, by removing or washing away blocked energy that has become toxic in a person’s body. Reiki can restore natural balance and supports the body’s ability to heal itself, and can ease chronic or acute pain.
Emotional benefits:
Reiki offers a relaxing, calming effect on the nervous system and can help you become more aware of suppressed emotions. Once these lower energies are brought to the surface, it allows you to acknowledge them, and transform them into more positive healing energies of compassion, joy, and courage.
Mental benefits:
Reiki can relax and calm the mind’s activity, enabling the recipient to find focus and clarity during times of uncertainty or confusion.
Rhonda’s Reiki sessions include:
Smoke or alternate cleansing of lower energies before the session
Gentle laying on of hands (or holding hands just over the body) to administer Reiki
The use of sound vibrations as she feels called to do so (Tibetan singing bowls, ting shaw bells, rain stick, rattles, etc.)
Sharing of intuitive messages at the end of the session
